Man Accused of Threatening Former Rep. Watson

A Los Angeles man was accused of making death threats against former Rep. Diane Watson (D-Calif.) and was arrested Friday, CNN reported Sunday.

Sheron Nelson, 42, is accused of making threatening phone calls, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Stolen electronics, but no weapons, were found in a search of Nelson’s home, the sheriff’s department said.

Watson represented parts of West Los Angeles and Culver City in the House from 2001 until this month. She did not run for re-election in November.
