Look out Washington, the remaining members of Congressional rock band the Second Amendments are reuniting for a performance next week.

Reps. Thaddeus McCotter (R-Mich.) and Collin Peterson (D-Minn.), the only members of the band who still hold Congressional seats, are slated to play at the after-party for the Washington Press Club Foundation’s 2011 Congressional dinner.

The bipartisan rock band used to be a staple of the D.C. party scene before three of the five Members left Congress. The Second Amendments’ original lineup included Peterson and McCotter, along with former Reps. Dave Weldon (R-Fla.), Jon Porter (R-Nev.) and Kenny Hulshof (R-Mo.).

The rockers will not be billed as the Second Amendments at the dinner; instead, they’ll play under their own names. “This is more of just a McCotter-Peterson collaboration,” a tipster says.

We hear the duo plans to find a drummer and bass guitar player to accompany them.

When asked about the show, McCotter said, “Lead singers answer all band questions.”

The pair was originally asked to perform the national anthem, but they opted to jam at the after-party instead.
