Rick Santorum Staffs Up in Iowa

Former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) has hired his top two staffers for his for presidential exploratory committee in Iowa.

Santorum announced Thursday that he has tapped Cody Brown to manage his committee and Lucas Draisey to serve as field director for his exploratory efforts in the Hawkeye State.

Brown was the campaign manager for Republican Ben Lange’s unsuccessful Congressional bid against Rep. Bruce Braley (D-Iowa) last cycle — a close contest that the Democrat narrowly won by 2 points. Draisey is the former chairman of the Iowa Federation of College Republicans.

The two join Nick Ryan and Jill Latham of the Iowa-based Concordia Group, who have been advising Santorum for the past few months.
