Huntsman to Make Candidacy Official

Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman (R) plans to announce his candidacy for president today at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, N.J.

Ronald Reagan held a famous Labor Day campaign rally in 1980 at the same location with the Statue of Liberty serving as a backdrop.

The 10 a.m. event will be followed by a second rally in Exeter, N.H. Huntsman is not likely to compete in Iowa, so the early New Hampshire primary will carry added importance for his campaign.
