Gallup Poll Gives House Democrats the Edge

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is cheering a new poll of registered voters giving House Democrats an edge 15 months before the elections.

In a generic ballot asking respondents whether they would vote for the Democrat or the Republican in their district if “the election were being held today,” 51 percent went with the Democratic Party’s candidate and 44 percent went with the Republican Party’s candidate.

The Gallup poll had a margin of error of 4 points.
