Democratic Super PAC Buys Ads Against Duffy, Lungren (VIDEO)

House Majority PAC, a Democratic independent expenditure-only committee, announced the second wave of a six-figure paid advertising offensive on cable TV over the August recess targeting potentially vulnerable House Republicans.

The latest ads are running in the districts of GOP Reps. Dan Lungren (Calif.) and Sean Duffy (Wis.), whom the ads say support millionaires over middle-class Americans.

“Maybe you live here, or own one of these,” the ad’s announcer says, as a picture of an estate and private jet show on the screen. “If so, Congressman Dan Lungren just voted to give you a big tax cut and for tax loopholes to keep corporate profits sky high. But what about the rest of us?”

“The American people are disgusted with House Republicans’ misguided priorities and votes to sell out the middle class,” House Majority PAC Executive Director Ali Lapp said in a statement. “House Majority PAC will continue holding House Republicans accountable for their extremist agenda.”

The incumbents targeted in the first wave of the group’s ads included Republican Reps. Tim Griffin (Ark.), Scott Tipton (Colo.) and Chip Cravaack (Minn.). Democrats need to net 24 seats next year to win the House majority.
