Tammy Baldwin Makes Senate Candidacy Official (VIDEO)

Rep. Tammy Baldwin announced early this morning her long-expected Senate bid for the seat left open by retiring Sen. Herb Kohl. In a video, the Wisconsin Democrat says that, like Kohl, she would fight for the middle class. She highlights her early opposition to the Iraq War and positions herself as someone unafraid to speak up.

“I’m used to facing challenges head on,” Baldwin says.

She closes with a request for people to visit her website, friend her on Facebook and follow her on Twitter.

Our primer on Baldwin’s candidacy is here. Roll Call Politics rates the open Senate seat a Tossup.
