Clinton Doing Virginia Democrats’ Fundraiser

President Bill Clinton is heading to McLean, Va., on Oct. 28 to join his former top fundraiser Terry McAuliffe, who is likely to run for governor in 2013, for a fundraiser benefiting Democrats running for state Senate in November.

“With the Governor’s mansion and the House of Delegates both controlled by Republicans, our majority in the Senate is the only thing standing in the way of the Tea Party’s extreme ideological agenda …
[Y]our support will help give Virginia Democrats the resources and grass roots energy they need to prevent a Tea Party majority in the state Senate. If you can’t make it, please consider contributing online — even just $5 can make a big difference this November,” McAuliffe wrote in an email to supporters.
