Dina Titus to Run Again, This Time in Nevada’s 1st District

With the new Congressional district lines set, former Rep. Dina Titus (D-Nev.) will today make it official that she’s running in the 1st district.

Titus had been expected to run in the 1st, one of three Las Vegas-area districts. She lives there, it’s conveniently open with Rep. Shelley Berkley (D) running for Senate and it is safe Democratic territory.

Titus could also have chosen a rematch against Rep. Joe Heck (R) in the southern Clark County-based 3rd district, which she represented for one term in Congress before being ousted by Heck in 2010.

Titus will face state Sen. Ruben Kihuen in a competitive Democratic primary.
