MoveOn.org Political Action launched a 30-second TV ad Wednesday aimed at dissuading Democrats on the super committee from agreeing to any cuts to Medicare.

The ad is running during morning cable talk shows for the next week, ending just as the super committee hits its deadline. The group also plans to hold rallies Thursday outside the local offices of super committee Democrats.

“Hey, super committee Democrats,” a man in the ad says. “Cutting Medicare benefits — are you crazy or just plain stupid? … Cutting Medicare benefits is so far right, Fox News is about to offer you your own show. Don’t be stupid, be Democrats. And Democrats don’t cut Medicare benefits.”
