Montana: Jon Tester Launches Two More TV Ads

Sen. Jon Tester’s campaign has launched two more positive TV ads in Montana to boost the Democrat’s first bid for re-election.

The 30-second ads, which the campaign said it spent about $60,000 on, will begin airing statewide this weekend. Both focus on Tester’s efforts to support military veterans.

The new ads come about two weeks after Tester launched his first ad of the cycle and the first overall in the highly competitive race with Rep. Denny Rehberg (R).

One of the new ads, “Living Up To Our Promises,” features an unscripted Tester at a town hall meeting with veterans. “The very first hearing I went to, I had a veteran stand up and say: ‘I’m a disabled vet and my mileage reimbursement is 11 cents a mile.’ And so we went to work,” Tester says in the ad.

The second ad, “Always There For Those Who Served,” features veteran Carla Lott describing how Tester attended a ceremony to honor her service as the first woman commissioned in the Army on the Blackfeet Reservation.
