This Isn’t Some ‘Two-Bit Manchild’

After years of helping Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid either make news or respond to it, his communications director, Adam Jentleson, made a little news of his own last week.

Daniel Bayne Jentleson was born Sept. 12 at George Washington University hospital. The 8-pound, 6-ounce tyke is the first child for Jentleson and his wife, Britt Peterson, a freelance writer whose work has appeared in Slate, the New Republic and the Boston Globe.

The new dad appears to be keeping his son away from the dirty business of politics, for the moment, choosing musical indoctrination first.

“Everyone is doing great. Between feedings and playtime, Britt is resting, reading and catching up with family and friends, who have been extremely generous with gifts of love, support and food. Dad and Danny are spending a lot of time reading, keeping up with the news and listening to music — the Beatles and Neil Diamond rank as early favorites,” Jentleson tells HOH.
