The Senate resumes consideration of the bill to reauthorize the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. At 9:45 a.m., the Senate is expected to vote on an amendment from Ron Wyden, D-Ore., followed by final passage of the measure.

Senators are expected to reject Wyden’s proposal, which would require reporting on email and phone surveillance conducted under the 2008 FISA law. If the chamber rejects the Wyden amendment and passes the bill, it will be cleared for President Barack Obama’s signature.

The Senate will then vote on amendments to the Hurricane Sandy aid bill. Further roll call votes, including a vote on final passage of the supplemental appropriations bill, are expected later in the day.

The House is not in session. It reconvenes 2 p.m. Sunday.
