The Senate is not in session. The chamber will reconvene at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4. Senators will then begin consideration of a bill to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act for five years.

After a subsequent meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Trump also canceled his threat of punitive tariffs against several European countries. Instead, Trump said he saw a new “framework” on a deal as likely workable.
