McCaskill Makes America a Mix Tape

Remember back in the 1990s, when that special someone made you a mixtape and you spent hours analyzing what they were really trying to say?

Now you can relive that feeling again, except this time that special someone is Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., and the mixtape she’s made America is a Spotify playlist.

McCaskill has a reputation for being a little ahead of the tech-curve, for the Senate, anyway.

McCaskill, a prolific Tweeter with more than 89,000 followers, was one of the first lawmakers to embrace the medium. She hasn’t shied away from letting her constituents see the “real her.” She’s tweeted and posted about everything from making soup to her views on policy and sports rivalries, to pictures of food and her grandkids. Why, just this afternoon she tweeted: “Today in my airport screening, test on my hands was positive. Got private, more aggressive pat down. OMB. #veryuncomfortable.”

In other words, America, she’s happy to give us a few hundred examples of  how she is just like us — except she’s a senator.

Last weekend, on March 9, McCaskill kinda upped the ante when she tweeted and posted on Facebook that she had just finished a long day of meetings and made us a musical playlist.

Yes, America, a Senator made us a mixtape!

Let’s give the playlist, titled “Seriously Good Mood,” a once over and figure out how she really feels about all of us.
