Postal Workers Keep Delivering Contributions

 reported it gave $229,000 to federal candidates and committees during the first quarter of 2013. In 2011-2012 the PAC gave almost $2 million to federal candidates and committees. The Postal Workers Union had been pushing to keep Saturday mail delivery. The U.S. Postal Service announced this week that it would not eliminate Saturday mail deliver because Congress had barred it. The American Postal Workers Union is still working to postpone consolidations of certain mail processing centers. See 2011-2012 PAC

Other recent PACs filing showing more than $100,000 in contributions made to candidates include: The United Parcel Service Inc. PAC
reported it gave out $178,307 in March. The National Association of Realtors PAC reported it gave out $154,740 in March. The American Bankers Association PAC (BankPAC) reported it gave out $152,000 to federal candidates and committees in March. The UBS Americas Inc. PAC reported
 it gave out $146,500 in March. Huntington Ingalls Industries PAC (ShipPAC) reported it gave out $140,000 in March. TheUnited Technologies Corporation PAC reported it gave out $140,000 during March.

Holden Industries Inc., Deerfield, IL,  registered a new political action committee this week.
