House Energy & Commerce Committee Largest Recipient of PAC Money

The top recipient of PAC contributions in the first quarter of 2013 was the House Energy and Commerce Committee. Committee members received $4.5 million into their campaign accounts during the first three months of the 113th Congress. At the time, several of the committee members were considering Senate races.

The committee was also the largest recipient for the entire 2011-2012 cycle, when committee members received almost $46 million.

In the first quarter of 2013, Republican members of the committee received $2,502,687 and Democratic members received $2,013,929. The top PAC giver was the AT&T Inc. Federal PAC which gave 31 committee members $85,500. The American College of Radiology Association PAC gave 17 committee members $65,000.
