Snowe Falls on The Monocle

Former Sen. Olympia Snowe, perhaps keeping an eye on how things are going at her old place of work, will head to The Monocle on Wednesday night to discuss her new book, “Fighting for Common Ground: How We Can Fix the Stalemate in Congress.”

The Maine Republican, now a senior fellow at the Bipartisan Policy Center, will be at the venerable watering hole at 107 D St. NE from 5 to 7 p.m. She retired last year, bemoaning the lack of comity and compromise in Congress. It looks like her book will spell out a few of her beefs, as well as suggest a way forward.

Good timing, with the chamber in the throes over another possible nuclear meltdown over judicial and administration nominees.
