Members Move Last-Minute Funds to Help in Special Election

Several members of Congress, PACs and health care groups have moved funds to Jason Smith (R-Mo.) for Missouri’s 8th District Special Election on June 4th.

Smith has reported last-minute contributions from the Health Care Leadership Committee ($1,000); Health Education and Learning PAC (1,000); American Hospital Association PAC ($2,500); Boeing Company PAC ($2,500); the American Council of Engineering Companies PAC ($3,000); Centene Corporation PAC ($1,000); Commerce Bancshares Inc. PAC ($1,000); the Association of Kentucky Fried Chicken Franchisees Inc. PAC gave $1,000; and Peabody PAC ($5,000). Frederick Palmer (senior vice president, Peabody Energy) also gave $2,600.
