Former Sen. Olympia Snowe, R-Maine, reported her PAC, Olympia’s List, had only $480 in receipts during the first six months of 2013. The committee started the year with $530,243. During the last six months it has spent $151,606 and now has $379,116 cash on hand. With almost no receipts the PAC may be simply a way to spend leftover funds rather than generate funds for an ongoing organization.

The PAC gave out $10,000 to the campaign committee of Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine.

Olympia’s List states it recognizes and supports elected officials and candidates who demonstrate their commitment to solving our nation’s problems. Their website lists members of Congress who are closest to the ideological center of the Senate and the House.
