Fewer Administration Officials Have Military Experience

In President Obama’s first term, 12% of top officials surveyed by National Journal had reported military experience. Now, that figure is 9%.

It is actually more likely for a top official to have spent time lobbying (13%), or have worked on Capitol Hill (29%).
