You only missed a dramatic ninth inning, both managers getting tossed and an incredible walk-off homer by Nats phenom Bryce Harper in a wild 9-7 Nats win. But don’t worry, because of an early season rainout, the Nats and New York Mets are playing a doubleheader today, with a 1:35 p.m. game and a 7:05 p.m. game. So you’ve got another chance to take in a great day at the diamond.

The DC Drive-In at Union Market (1309 Fifth St. NE) is showing some proto-Aaron Sorkin “West Wing” tonight, when it features Rob Reiner’s “The American President,” starring Michael Douglas as a lovesick, widowed president whose new girlfriend becomes a line of attack for his enemies. Martin Sheen auditions well for his role as President Jed Bartlet in Sorkin’s future endeavors, playing Douglas’ chief of staff.

If it’s an indoor flick you’d like, head to Hill Center (921 Pennsylvania Ave. SE) for its Hill Flicks series. This week, it’s a real treat, with the screening of a prescient but relatively unknown movie, “The Seduction of Joe Tynan,” with Alan Alda scripting and starring as a senator who gets bogged down in compromises that political professionals will find familiar. Also starring Meryl Streep. This is a real bonus, because this film is nearly impossible to find. Starts at 7 p.m.
