PAC Asks for Permission to Use Bitcoins

The Conservative Action Fund PAC (CAF), a non-connected hybrid PAC, has requested an advisory opinion from the Federal Election Commission as to whether it may accept Bitcoins as contributions from individuals otherwise lawfully able to contribute and, if so, whether CAF may then itself contribute, sell, or directly spend these Bitcoins.
