Bloomberg’s Super PAC Contracts for $558K in TV Ads

The Super PAC of New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Independence USA PAC, has contracted with Washington, D.C. television station WRC for $557,800 in television ads aimed at Virginia voters. The PAC spent $138,550 for ads running from 9/30 to 10/27, and $335,580 on ads running from 10/28 to 11/4.

The PAC announced it would spend $1.1 million on ads to support Terry McAuliffe, D-Va.

The ad spots will appear throughout the day and night, including on shows such as, the Today Show, Days of Our Lives, NBC Nightly News, Access Hollywood, Tonight Show, Carson Daly, Betty White Off Rocker, English Premier League, Redskins Showtime, Coaches Show, Sat. Night Live, Sunday Today, Press Pass, Pres./RNC Addresses, Nightly News, Late News, Redskins Final, among others.

The contract was made public on the website of the Federal Communications Commission.

Update 10/24. WTTG, Fox 5, in Washington, D.C., reported Independence USA PAC contracted for $266,450 of television ad time on shows such as, the Morning News, Bethenny Frankel, Judge Judy, TMZ, Modern Family, News Edge, Sleepy Hollow-Net, Late Fringe, and Redskins Pre-Game.

Update 10/24. WJLA, ABC7, in Washington, D.C., reported Independence USA PAC contracted for $401,700 of television ad time on shows such as, Good Morning America, Rachel Ray, The View, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, The Chew, General Hospital, Queen Latifah, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Jimmy Kimmel, Castle, Inside Washington, and ABC News.
