Eye in the Sky Defense Contractor Starts to Look at Congress

A defense contractor specializing in defense imaging and earth observation imaging has registered a federal political action committee to give contributions to candidates and committees.

E2V Aerospace and Defense Inc., a California-based subsidiary of E2V Technologies Plc based in the United Kingdom, has registered a federal political action committee (PAC) with the Federal Election Commission. The committee is the E2V Aerospace and Defense Inc. Political Action Committee aka E2V PAC.

E2V Aerospace, a company that provides high performance imaging solutions, supplies a range of space-qualified imaging sensors for use in defense satellites and space vehicles, missile seeker technologies, and area and linear devices for high-resolution, low-noise surveillance purposes. Its L3Vision is an advanced electron multiplying imaging technology that offers low light performance, such as in night-time surveillance.

Their California facility is in Milpitas, California, represented by Rep. Mike Honda, D-Calif. Honda sits on the House Appropriations Committee, and its subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science an Related Agencies.

Other companies registering a new PAC recently include, the Selective Insurance Company of America of Branchville, New Jersey, and AHS Medical Holdings LLC of Nashville, Tennessee.
