‘Tough Dames in Satin Slips’ Film Series Wraps

Hill Center is wrapping up its “Tough Dames in Satin Slips” series of pre-Hays Code movies Friday night with the 1931 underworld thriller “The Public Enemy,” starring Jean Harlow and Jimmy Cagney. This is is the flick that gave us the iconic scene of Cagney’s Tom Powers smushing a grapefruit into Mae Clarke’s face at breakfast.
