The former chief of staff for the Iowa Republican left D.C. last year to pursue a bid for the seat of retiring Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa — but not before affixing this discarded ID badge on the back of a parking sign at the corner of Second and E streets Northeast.

The amateur vandal has since switched gears and is now running for the House seat being vacated by retiring Rep. Tom Latham, R-Iowa.
