Top GOP Senators Call for VA Secretary Shinseki’s Resignation

Top Senate Republicans called for new leadership at the Department of Veterans Affairs on Tuesday.

“A change in leadership might be a good step in the right direction,” Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., told reporters in response to a question about whether he supported calls for the resignation of VA Secretary Eric Shinseki.
