Colorado Supreme Court to Rule on Oil & Gas Ballot Initiatives

The Denver Post reports: “Could a proposed ballot measure aimed at giving communities more control over oil and gas operations end up turning a belching cow into a violation of the state constitution?”

“Such are the questions being posed in legal challenges to 10 ballot initiatives before the state Supreme Court. The court is expected to rule on them in early June.”

“Legal challenges to the ballot measures are supposed to be limited and based on whether they are, as approved by the state Initiative Title Setting Board, clear and contain just one subject.”
