Withdrawal of 4 CO Initiatives Brings Relief to Oil and Gas Leaders

The Denver Post reports that “the withdrawal Tuesday of the four oil and gas initiatives from the November ballot — under a deal crafted by Gov. John Hickenlooper — brought expressions of relief at the Colorado Oil and Gas Association’s annual conference in Denver.”

“‘I am going to be able to sleep better,’ Charles Davidson, CEO for Houston-based Noble Energy Inc., said during one session.”

“Noble is the largest oil producer in Colorado.”

“The deal involved the removal of two initiatives aimed at limiting oil and gas development and two initiatives backed by the industry from certification for the fall ballot.”
