While Fox News has obtained documents purporting to show a possible 10-point plan for executive action on immigration by President Barack Obama, the White House says the president hasn’t made a final decision on specifics yet.

“The President has not made a decision regarding the specific measures he will take to fix our broken immigration system,” a White House official said in an email. “In fact, he has not yet received final recommendations from the Department of Homeland Security. As the President has said previously, he is committed to taking action before the end of the year.” Previous leaks have reported very similar details to those reported today by Fox : that about 4.5 million adults with children here legally would gain deportation relief and access to work permits without authorization from Congress, alongside other provisions.

That has Republicans talking about defunding the immigration action before Obama takes it , a move that could lead to more government shutdown brinksmanship.
