Following Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s speech Wednesday afternoon, Majority Leader Harry Reid took to the Senate floor to counter the Kentucky Republican’s claims that the Senate has changed for the worst. Reid accused the Republican leadership of obstruction and “distorting facts.” Reid called the remarks a “diversion” from the GOP’s “callous” and “cold-hearted” positions on current issues facing the Senate. Reid argued that he has voted for GOP amendments and has supported bipartisanship during his tenure as Majority Leader in the Senate.
