Sen. Orrin G. Hatch isn’t happy that former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina didn’t get a slot in Fox News’ primetime debate.

The Utah Republican and chairman of the Finance Committee told CQ Roll Call organizers should have found a way to include her in the Thursday debate.

“She, by force of experience and success, deserved to be in that debate tonight,” Hatch said. “… I would love to have seen her in that debate. I would have made that exception.”

Hatch, of course, has experience running for president himself.

Fiorina, along with the other candidates who failed to poll in the top 10, will be on Fox’s 5 p.m. undercard debate, a.k.a., the happy-hour debate.
