From Watergate to Whitewater to Benghazi, it’s fair to say that, in Washington, the real scandal is the cover-up. But on the rare occasion the real scandal isn’t the cover-up, it’s probably the admitting of the real motive for an ongoing, never-ending investigation into the possibility of a cover-up.

And if it’s NOT the admitting of the real motive for an ongoing, never-ending investigation into the possibility of a cover-up, then, the truth is, the real scandal has to be this week’s Capitol Quip.
