Alan Grayson loaned his Senate campaign $100,000 in the third quarter, his most recent campaign financial disclosure shows.

Florida’s 9th District congressman is vying for the Democratic nomination in Florida’s open Senate contest against 18th District Rep. Patrick Murphy.

Grayson raised about half that of Murphy, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee’s endorsed candidate. Grayson raised $743,000, including the loan, to Murphy’s $1.5 million.

Murphy leads in cash on hand, too, with $3.5 million in the bank compared to Grayson’s $250,000.

In the second quarter, Grayson, who is one of the wealthiest members of Congress , loaned his campaign $50,000 of the $252,000 he took in.
