The F/A-18 Super Hornet Could be Canada’s Next Top Fighter

Justin Trudeau, the new Prime Minister, has vowed to “reduce the procurement budget for replacing the CF -18s” — its version of Boeing’s older F/A-18 Hornet — “and will instead purchase one of the many, lower-priced options that better match Canada’s defence needs,” Defense One reports.

“America’s Boeing, France’s Dassault, and even Sweden’s Saab have all offered cheaper alternatives to the F-35 , built by prime contractor Lockheed Martin.”
