White Press Secretary Josh Earnest said Tuesday that, after several weeks of review, the Obama administration will support the Equality Act, a piece of legislation that would ban discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. “That bill is historic legislation that would advance the cause of equality for millions of Americans,” Earnest said. “The administration does look forward to working with Congress to try to advance this legislation.”
