White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said Monday the shooting in San Bernardino, Calif., “begs questions” about the K-1 visa program that allowed shooter Tashfeen Malik to enter the United States. Earnest said the State Department and the Department of Homeland Security would review the program to determine if changes need to be made. “Both agencies will be taking a close look at the roles that they have in this program and obviously determine what kind of reforms would strengthen our national security,” Earnest said.
