Trump to Skip CPAC for Kansas Rally
In a last-minute announcement on on Friday, Donald Trump said he would head to a rally in Kansas instead of speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Saturday.
Trump was scheduled to speak early in the morning at Maryland’s National Harbor. Instead, he’ll appear in Wichita at what a press release called “a major rally” ahead of the Kansas Caucus and also will speak at the caucus itself.
He will then depart for Orlando, Florida, for an event his campaign said would draw some 20,000.
Trump thanked American Conservative Union’s Matt Schlapp and all other executives for the invitation to speak at CPAC, and said he hoped to appear there next year “as president of the United States.”
