Sen. Ted Cruz has had enough of Donald Trump.

After an attack on his father, the Texas Republican did not mince words Tuesday, describing Trump, the GOP presidential front-runner, as a “pathological liar,” “amoral,” a “serial philanderer” and a “narcissist.”

Cruz’s comments came ahead of the Indiana primary, which he lost to Trump by a healthy margin. There were 57 delegates at stake.

He doesn’t know the difference between truth and lies. He lies practically every word that comes out of his mouth.”

Cruz’s remarks were in response to a Fox News phone interview early Tuesday in which Trump implied that Cruz’s father, Rafael, was connected to President John F. Kennedy’s assassination. Trump was referring to a National Enquirer story that claimed Rafael Cruz was with Kennedy’s assassin before the shooting.

This appeared to be the last straw for Cruz, whom Trump has frequently referred to as “Lyin’ Ted.”

“Let’s be clear,” Cruz said. “This is nuts.”

“The man cannot tell the truth, but he combines it with being a narcissist. A narcissist at a level I don’t think this country’s ever seen,” Cruz later said.

After calling Trump “utterly amoral,” Cruz said, “Donald is a bully … Bullies don’t come from strength, they come from weakness. Bullies come from a deep, yawning cavern of insecurity. There is a reason Donald builds giant buildings and puts his name on them everywhere he goes.”
