GOP Convention Taps Pam Stevens
House GOP media affairs director will serve in similar role in Cleveland

Pam Stevens is a political veteran and the Republican National Committee is taking advantage of it, picking her to direct media affairs for the party convention .
Stevens is in Cleveland on leave from her Hill job until Aug. 1. She has been the director of media affairs and strategic initiatives for the House Republican Conference since 2013.
Along with an extensive Rolodex in D.C., Stevens also has convention experience: She worked as the deputy press secretary and director of specialty press for the 2012 Republican convention in Tampa.
Stevens served as assistant White House press secretary from 2002 to 2005 under the George W. Bush administration.
