California Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell got married on Friday.

Swalwell’s new wife, Brittany Ann Watts, is the director of sales for the Ritz-Carlton resort in Half Moon Bay, California, The New York Times’ wedding announcement said.

The couple were married at the Rene C. Davidson Courthouse in Oakland, the Times reported, with Nancy E. O’Malley, the Alameda County district attorney, officiating. The reception took place in Livermore, according to Swalwell’s office.

The two met in September 2015 through mutual friends, whom, 12 years prior, Swalwell had set up.

Swalwell proposed in March at the Greenbrier resort in West Virginia, the Bay Area News Group reported in April.

The congressman, 35, was first elected to Congress in 2012. His previous marriage ended in divorce, according to the Times.
