Just when the hipster population was deeming it as cool, Yuengling beer is on several black lists in the District.

The owner of one of America’s oldest operating breweries, Richard Yuengling Jr., has publicly endorsed Donald Trump and last week, Eric Trump visited him.

The Republican presidential candidate’s son toured the beer’s Pottsville, Pennsylvania, brewery on Oct. 24 and held a news conference with Yuengling, according to CBS News.

As a result, D.C. gay bars started to boycott the beer, the Washington Blade reported, and other bars have since jumped on the bandwagon.

“His support for Trump is basically support for [Mike] Pence,” JR’s Bar & Grill manager David Perruzza told the Blade. “I don’t want them getting any support from gay people. It may sound weird, but I don’t want any cent of it going to Trump.”

JR’s is a gay bar in Dupont Circle.

Other bars that have stopped serving the beer include Dito’s, Town, Trade, Code, Annie’s, Nellie’s, Colbart, Dik Bar, Stoney’s, Freddie’s, Level One, DC’s Eagle, Number 9, Dirty Goose, 18th & Duplex, Green Lantern, Larry’s Lounge, Ziegfeld’s & Secrets and Kangaroo Boxing Club.

The gay news outlet, Jack Pop, is continuing to update its list.

Yuengling produces all its beer in Pennsylvania and Florida — two presidential swing states with competitive Senate races.
