President Elect Donald Trump will continue his “Thank You” tour on Tuesday in Fayetteville, North Carolina, where he he’s expected to introduce his Defense secretary nominee, Gen. James Mattis.

Trump campaigned in Fayetteville on multiple occasions, visiting in both the primary and general elections and winning the state both times.

Trump’s victory came despite major pushes from Hillary Clinton’s campaign down the stretch, holding events with Democratic heavyweights from President Barack Obama on down. Obama carried the state in 2008, but Republican Mitt Romney did in 2012.

Mattis, the retired Marine Corps general, with speak at the event, Vice President-elect Mike Pence told MSNBC Tuesday. Fayetteville is near the Fort Bragg Army base and a few hours away from the sprawling Camp Lejeune Marine Corps base.

Trump lost Cumberland County by double digits according to the New York Times but won neighboring Harnett, Sampson and Bladen counties.
