Rep. Rod Blum, R-Iowa, mocked Democrats over the Russian hacking scandal with a joke about the Democratic National Committee on his Facebook page.

Blum posted a photo on his Sunday saying, “Walked to work past DNC HQ this afternoon. Nobody there — I guess they couldn’t ‘hack’ this cold weather!”

Temperatures in Washington, D.C., plunged into the lower teens and stayed below freezing over the weekend.

The remark comes shortly after the U.S. intelligence released a report showing that Russia attempted to undermine confidence in U.S. institutions and discredit the presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton.

Meredith Kelly, communications director for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, criticized the posting and quoted Lindsey Graham, calling Blum “a political hack.”

Blum was criticized by D.C. residents and government workers last year after he posted a photo of construction cranes on the Washington skyline and wishing D.C. would suffer a recession.
