The annual anti-abortion rally in Washington, the March for Life, is this Friday.

While everyone was preparing for President Donald Trump’s inauguration, march organizers released its list of speakers, which includes counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway, the highest-ranking White House official to ever address the event in person. Also scheduled to speak are Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, Rep. Mia Love, R-Utah, and Rep. Christopher H. Smith, R-N.J.

This will be the 44th annual demonstration and several other celebrities and figures in the anti-abortion movement are expected to attend. Stay tuned for more information leading up to Friday.

 

School choice rally

It’s National School Choice Week and Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., and Rep. Luke Messer, R-Ind., are teaming up to host a rally with 250 students on Capitol Hill. The lawmakers will be joined by House Speaker Paul D. Ryan, R-Wis., Majority Whip Steve Scalise, R-La., and Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., among others, at 10:15 a.m. in the Congressional Atrium and Auditorium of the Capitol Visitor Center.

GOP group agenda rolled out

The Republican Main Street Partnership is rolling out its 2017 congressional agenda today. Members of the group headlining the event are Reps. Greg Walden of Oregon, Bill Shuster of Pennsylvania, and Pat Tiberi of Ohio. 8 to 9 a.m. in the Cannon House Office Building, Room 122. Staffer shuffle

The National Republican Congressional Committee on Monday announced its senior staff for the 2018 cycle. 

• John Rogers is executive director. He has been the committee’s political director, among other posts.

• Joe Pileggi, who has been the committee’s regional political director, will serve as political director.

• Matt Gorman, who was previously the strategic campaign communications director for the Biotechnology Innovation Organization, will serve as communications director.

Sam Lau is the communications director for the House Budget Committee Democrats. He previously worked as a spokesman for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.

ICYMI: Presidential Instagram updates

Ownership of the @whitehouseInstagram account was handed over to the new Trump administration, according to Instagram. Former President Barack Obama’s White House account has been renamed and archived as @obamawhitehouse.

ICYMI: Inauguration Facebook data

60 million people on Facebook in the U.S. generated 208 million likes, posts, comments and shares related to the presidential inauguration, according to data released by the social media site.
