TMZ spots Ryan, and a disco survivor is coming to the LOC

If you have a pet, give him or her a little extra love today on National Pet Day.

If you don’t have a pet, Pets and Pints will have more information about your adoption options.

Billed as D.C.’s ultimate National Pet Day celebration, the event aims to raise awareness about pet adopting by bringing together Washingtonians and furry friends.

Owners, non-owners, and pets are invited to Rebellion (1836 18th St. NW) from 5 to 8 p.m.

Ryan spotted by TMZ

The celebrity gossip site TMZ spotted House Speaker Paul D. Ryan, R-Wisc., on Monday at Universal Studios Hollywood on Sunday to kick off the recess. Check out the video.

LOC disco welcomes Gloria Gaynor

Gloria Gaynor of “I Will Survive” fame is performing at the Library of Congress in May, WTOP reported. It’s part of the LOC’s “Bibliodiscotheque,” which features two months of disco-themed events. “I Will Survive” was inducted into LOC’s music registry last year. Check out the full schedule of events

ICYMI: Bernie has a podcast

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., launched his podcast, “The Bernie Sanders Show,” on March 26. The description: “Sen. Bernie Sanders, along with leading activists, journalists, policymakers, artists, visionaries and revolutionaries, talks about the resistance, the political revolution, and moving forward on a progressive agenda.” So far, there are three podcasts available on iTunes, including one with “Science Guy” Bill Nye.
