Tuesday’s bipartisan meeting at the White House revealed a deep Republican-Democratic divide on immigration policy. White House correspondent John T. Bennett says bills on immigration, welfare reform and infrastructure might slide off the GOP agenda when summer hits and election season starts in earnest.
