McConnell, Durbin Make Their Case As Shutdown Looms

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., criticized Democrats on Friday as the minority party — whose votes are needed on procedural votes to fund the government past midnight — continued to say they would not vote for a bill that didn’t include protections for a group of undocumented immigrants.
