McConnell Opens Senate With Pitch for Passing Feb. 8 CR

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., says the ongoing shutdown is doing “absolutely nothing to generate bipartisan progress.” He offered assurances that an immigration bill solution for DACA recipients would be debated fairly for both sides if Democrats pass the current spending bill on the floor Monday.
